Berlin, August 17th, 2016 – The crowdfunding platform iFunded.de has reached its funding target of 1,000,000 Euro for their launch project ahead of schedule. Private and institutional investors have invested in the historic residential property Central Berlin over the online portal. The property is a prominent, listed building on Strausberger Platz in Berlin-Friedrichshain. “The great interest has made it clear that crowdfunding has now also reached the real estate sector. With attractive returns we offer return oriented investors an attractive form of investment in times of low interest”, says Michael Stephan, founder and managing director of iFunded.de.
Five percent annual return
Investments for the launch project Central Berlin started at 250 Euro onwards. In addition, Investors were not subject to any fees. For the participation in the renovation measures by means of a subordinated loan, investors receive a fixed interest rate of five percent per year. The interest payments to investors take place every six months over a period of 1.5 years. “Two major investor groups in particular have invested in our first investment property: the first initially invested three figure sums to try out the platform and crowdfunding. The second major group invested four- and five-figure sums. Those are the ones who already know crowdfunding and were convinced by the product”, explains Mr. Stephan. “But also the first institutional investors have discovered iFunded.de for themselves.”
Next project already online
The next investment project, the Caspar-Theyss-Strasse in the City-West has already been put online. 750,000 euros are to be collected through the crowd for the project. The investments will be used for the renovation of the façade and apartments. The investors can expect a return of five percent with a term of 24 months.
