iFunded Donation Campaign: For street children in need
Christmas, the celebration of love, family and contemplation is coming and we at iFunded want to use this time to do good with both you and the donation crowdfunding platform betterplace.org. For not every one of us is lucky enough to celebrate Christmas in the circle of the loved ones and under a decorated Christmas tree.
For this reason, from December 1st to 24th, we shall donate one percent of the investment sum for each investment made in our current project CALVIN BERLIN, but at least € 2,000 altogether, to the Straßenkinder e.V. association in Berlin.
This donation is made by us as a company (iEstate GmbH). Your investments will remain unaffected. Therefore, join us! You invest, we donate.
We will be happy, however, if you support the campaign in addition to the regular investment with a donation. In that case, we donate €0.50 for every euro you donate under the keyword “iFunded cares”.
What is betterplace?
Betterplace.org is Germany’s largest online donation platform. Just like iFunded, betterplace collects money through crowdfunding. With the help of this crowd, charitable projects are financed and made possible. We share the idea that many individuals can invest together in a project and make a difference. Hence, achieve great things together with small amounts.
Why we chose street children in need
The idea of having a roof over our heads is self-evident in our society. We at iFunded deal with the German real estate market every day and with residential properties in particular. Unfortunately, however, there are far too many people and above all children in Germany, for whom an apartment or even a dry and warm accommodation is not available on an everyday basis. This is why we want to support the Straßenkinder e.V. association in Berlin with this donation campaign.
The Straßenkinder e.V. association – a quick overview
Still too many children in Germany face daily domestic violence and poverty and run away from home and live on the street subsequently. Up to 2,500 children land on the streets every year, several hundreds of them in Berlin. The real figure, however, is probably much higher.
The Straßenkinder e.V. association was established from a voluntary initiative in 2000. The members of the association look after children and young people who live on the streets or who are affected by child poverty and education poverty. The association is recognized as a non-profit organization at the Finanzamt Berlin and is approved for the “youth welfare support”. Since the beginning of its work, the association has been financed by donations by almost 100% and is still dependent on them.
In order to reach street children, work on the road is very important. For this purpose, the social workers and volunteers are using a mobile advisory service vehicle to drive to the places where the children are staying. There, they are supplied with hot food and drinks, a first contact is made and they are invited to consultations. For the first goal is to get the children off the road as quickly as possible. With the help of the association, the children are to find the way back to society – and they are accompanied and supported at every step. In addition to working on the road, prevention is a key element to preserve children from life on the road.
So let us do something good together: in addition to your investments until December 24th we donate 1%, however, at least € 2,000 via betterplace.org for the Straßenkinder e.V. project.
